San Francisco Department of Public Works (SFDPW), SFUSD, and SF Environment Department are hosting a Neighborhood Beautification Day and Arbor Day Fair on Saturday, March 14, 2026. 

The event will consist of two main parts Neighborhood Beautification where volunteers will plant trees, and Eco Fair for those who would like to attend the family-friendly, educational, and interactive fair while the volunteers are out planting trees.

Neighborhood Beautification Day (Volunteers Needed to Plant Trees!):

Francisco Middle School Yard (361 Francisco Street, San Francisco) 

Worksites

Nob Hill, Lower Nob Hill, North Beach and other District 3 neighborhoods 

Sign up to volunteer!  

Preparing for the Event

  • Work will take place for about 3 hours
  • As an outdoor event, sunscreen is recommended
  • Wear closed-toe shoes and appropriate work clothes
  • Reduce plastic waste by bringing your own reusable water bottle
  • Lunch will be served to volunteers at the end.

  • Bucket truck rides
  • Build your own planter box
  • Information Booth
