Announcement Message

School Social Workers are deeply committed professionals who spend much of their time advocating for students, families, and school communities. While recognition is never their motivation, feeling seen, supported, and valued by their communities and school leadership makes a meaningful difference.

National School Social Work Week (March 1-7, 2026) is an opportunity for students, families, staff and administrators to acknowledge the vital role their School Social Workers and/or Wellness Coordinators play—and to do so in ways that feel authentic, respectful, and supportive. Here are ideas of ways administrators and school communities can show appreciation to their Social Workers and Wellness Coordinators.
