  • Heavy congestion around key intersections along 19th Avenue
  • Disruptions to weekend activities and events

We recommend planning ahead by:
  • Allowing extra travel time
  • Considering alternate routes
  • Checking Muni service adjustments
  • Staying alert for changing traffic patterns in the area

For students currently using General Education or IEP bus transportation, SFUSD's Transportation Office will work with Zum to plan alternate routes and notify families of any delays.

Families who plan to pick up their students directly should cancel their scheduled rides in the Zum app.

Why This Work Is Happening

The 19th Avenue closures in April and May allow crews to complete major paving work more quickly and safely, improving road conditions along one of the city’s busiest corridors.
