Field Trip Transportation Services

Every student comes to the classroom with different world experiences. Studies have shown that students who have been exposed to many different things do better in school. Within the wonderful city of San Francisco, there are people and places that students can access that cannot be replicated by the Internet or in the classroom.

Field Trip Forms and Regulations

All school sponsored field trips requiring a school bus shall use school District approved school/chartered bus services. Students may not be transported on unapproved charter vendors. This includes third parties making arrangements on behalf of the district. SFUSD's Transportation Department does not make charter bus reservations or arrangements, and will not review field trip requests using this transportation option so do not wait for transportation approval. Billing/payments are coordinated directly between the school site (or sponsoring institution) and an approved Charter bus company.
