The Beacon Afterschool Learning Program includes 3 components: Snack/Supper, Project-Based Clubs, and Tribe Time (Community Building and Homework Support). During Project Clubs students will choose from a variety of offerings for a 12- week cycle.

8th Grade

Recognizing that the developmental needs of 8th graders in afterschool are different from those of 6th and 7th graders, Beacon offers 8th grade a unique and separate program. The 8th-grade program focuses on independent learning projects, social and emotional awareness activities, leadership and planning skills through student-led activity days, written and oral communication skills, independent living skills, interview preparedness, outdoor/active days, high school/college prep, and mentorship to other individuals.
