ELPAC & State Testing

ELPAC (English Language Proficiency Assessment):

• This is an assessment of students who speak a primary language other than English.
• Initial assessments start on the first day of school.  
• Each family of a student to be tested will be notified before testing.

SBAC/CAASPP (Smarter Balanced and CA Assessment of Student Performance and Progress):

• These are state assessments of English (6th - 8th), Mathematics (6th - 8th), and Science (for 8th grade only).
• Test window will open in March 2026.
• Each family will be notified before testing begins.
