Dear Parents/Guardians of Our 8^th Grade Students:

We are excited to announce the MLK Class of 2027 Promotion Activities!

To be eligible to attend Promotion Activities, students must:

• Maintain Cobra Eligibility until promotion - (Not be on the Ineligibility list)
• Complete Student Led Conferences
• Complete all outstanding detentions
• Return all library books (if applicable)
• Return Locks (if applicable)
• Return Sports uniform (if applicable)

Eligibility can be lost for the following reasons:

• 10 or more Tardies any Quarter
• 2 or more Behavior Referrals
• 1 Fight
• 1 Suspension
• Persistent bullying/harassment
• Persistent unsafe behavior (including "play fighting")
• At the discretion of administrator

*Students will receive notice if they are ineligible and will speak with the Student Support Department regarding actions to become eligible again.

In order to walk the stage at the Promotion Ceremony, students must be eligible as defined above. Please work with your student to ensure consistent attendance, academic progress, and positive King-Kid behavior.

Please view the next page for important dates and information. Sign and return the last page to the Advisory Teacher. Thank you for your support of the school over the past three years. We look forward to celebrating your student’s accomplishments!

親愛的八年級家長/監護人/學生，

我們很高興地宣布2027年MLK畢業班的活動！

學生必須滿足以下的條件才符合資格參加畢業活動:

• 任何學季遲到 10 次或以上。
• 兩個或以上的行爲操守轉介
• 一次打架
• 一次學校停課處分
• 持續的欺淩或歧視行爲
• 持續做出不安全的行爲（包括：玩架）
• 校長保留最終的決定權

*如學生未達到參加畢業活動的資格，學生將會收到學校輔導員發出的通知。學生需要與學生支援服務部討論有關如何恢復資格的措施。

若學生要在升學典禮上台接受表揚，必須符合上述規定的資格要求。 請與您的孩子共同努力，確保其保持穩定出勤、學業進步，並展現良好的 King-Kid 行為表現。

Estimados padres o tutores de nuestros estudiantes de 8.º grado:

¡Nos complace anunciar las actividades de promoción de la clase de 2027 de MLK!

Para poder asistir a las actividades de promoción, los estudiantes deben:

• Mantener la elegibilidad "Cobra" hasta la promoción (no figurar en la lista de inelegibilidad).
• Completar las conferencias dirigidas por el estudiante.
• Cumplir con todas las detenciones pendientes.
• Devolver todos los libros de la biblioteca (si corresponde).
• Devolver los candados (si corresponde).
• Devolver el uniforme deportivo (si corresponde).

La elegibilidad puede perderse por las siguientes razones:

• 10 o más llegadas tarde en cualquier trimestre.
• 2 o más reportes de conducta.
• 1 pelea.
• 1 suspensión.
• Acoso o intimidación persistente.
• Conducta insegura persistente (incluyendo "juegos de pelea").
• A criterio de la administración.

*Los estudiantes recibirán una notificación si no son elegibles y hablarán con el Departamento de Apoyo Estudiantil sobre las medidas necesarias para recuperar la elegibilidad.

Para poder subir al escenario durante la ceremonia de promoción, los estudiantes deben cumplir con los requisitos de elegibilidad mencionados anteriormente. Por favor, colabore con su hijo/a para asegurar una asistencia constante, progreso académico y un comportamiento positivo propio de un "King-Kid".
