Principal Virtual Family Chat

Parents! Attend MLK's Principal Virtual Family Chat on Thursday 05/14/2026 at 5:30PM Zoom. All Families are invited to attend.  Cantonese and Spanish Interpretation will be available. Road Closed on May 14th

SF Public Works will be closing Girard Street at the front of the school on May 14th, from 8AM - 6PM, for surface sealing.Pick up will be on Burrows Street.  Staff will be outside for safety. Please see the map below. 

Magic Tooth Bus - FREE dental screening

School-based Oral Health Program, the Magic Tooth Bus, will be on campus on May 21st to screen students and provide dental sealants for back molar teeth to those who opt in. This is a free service to MLK Students. If you would like your child's teeth screened, please return the following permission slip! Forms are available in the Main Office. 

Rock on the Hill

Rock on the Hill is a Modern Band Festival. Students will be performing on a real stage with real sound engineers in a real night club!

Details:

Where?: Bottom of the Hill music venue, 1233 17th St. SF CA

When?: Sunday May 17th, 12:30 doors, 1pm music starts. Event ends around 5

Who?: 6 MLK modern bands, 5 Lowell Bands, 1 Wallenberg band, 1 Burton band (MLK alumni!!!)

Why?: Because YOU are part of the authentic audience for these students!

What?: Rock on the Hill is a Modern Band Festival. Students will be performing on a real stage with real sound engineers in a real night club!

How Much?: We are suggesting $10 students, $15 Adults as a donation. If this is a financial hardship for you, you can get in for free

MLK Spring Concert and Art Night

On Thursday May 21st at 5:30pm, MLK Cobra Band will be hosting Art Night and Spring Concert! Students in Cobra Band will be performing for the night. Art students will be exhibiting their art pieces. 

MLK Beacon Summer Program

Join MLK x YMCA Beacon this summer for an exciting and engaging program designed specifically for middle school students! Our program offers a unique blend of enrichments, hands on project-based learning, and field trips that will stimulate the mind, spark creativity, and expand horizons. Youth will have the opportunity to explore new subjects and develop skills in a fun and supportive environment.

5月14日道路封閉

舊金山公共工程部門將於5月14日上午8點至下午6點封閉學校正門前的吉拉德街（Girard Street）進行路面密封作業。接學生請移步伯羅斯街（Burrows Street）。工作人員將在室外執勤，確保安全。請參閱下方地圖。

魔法牙齒巴士 - 免費牙科檢查

學校口腔健康計畫「神奇牙齒巴士」將於5月21日來到校園，為學生進行牙齒篩檢，並為選擇參加的學生提供後磨牙窩溝封閉服務。這是免費牙科檢查。如果您想為您的孩子進行牙齒篩檢，請填寫以下許可證並交回！表格可在主辦公室領取。

「山丘搖滾」是現代樂團音樂節。學生們將在真正的舞台上，在真正的夜店裡，由真正的音響工程師進行現場演出！

詳情：

地點：Bottom of the Hill音樂場地，地址：1233 17th St. SF CA

時間：5月17日星期日，中午12:30開門，下午1點演出開始。活動大約在下午5點結束。

演出陣容：6支馬丁路德金高中現代樂團、5支洛威爾高中樂團、1支瓦倫堡高中樂團、1支伯頓高中樂團（馬丁路德金高中校友！）

原因：因為您是這些學生真正的觀眾！

活動內容：「山丘搖滾」是現代樂團音樂節。學生們將在真正的舞台上，在真正的夜店裡，由真正的音響工程師進行現場演出！

費用：我們建議學生捐款10美元，成人捐款15美元。如果您經濟困難，可以免費入場。

MLK 春季音樂會

5月21日星期四下午5:30，MLK Cobra樂團將舉辦藝術之夜暨春季音樂會！當晚，！Cobra樂團的學生將進行表演，藝術專業的學生也將展出他們的作品。

Calle cerrada el 14 de mayo.

El Departamento de Obras Públicas de San Francisco cerrará la calle Girard, frente a la escuela, el 14 de mayo, de 8:00AM a 6:00PM, para realizar trabajos de sellado de la superficie. La entrada y salida de los alumnos se realizará por la calle Burrows. El personal estará en el exterior por motivos de seguridad. Consulte el mapa a continuación.

Autobús Mágico de Dientes - Revisión dental gratuita

El programa escolar de salud bucal, el Autobús Mágico de los Dientes, estará en el campus el 21 de mayo para realizar revisiones dentales a los estudiantes y aplicar selladores dentales en los molares posteriores a quienes lo deseen. Este es un servicio gratuito para los estudiantes de MLK. Si desea que se revisen los dientes de su hijo/a, ¡devuelva el siguiente formulario de autorización! Los formularios están disponibles en la oficina principal.
