MLK March

Greetings MLK Community,

Every year, our school organizes a march to celebrate the history of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whom our school is named after. 

We start planning for the march a few months before the actual holiday, which was on January 19, 2026. We use the march as an opportunity to learn about the struggles during that time period, and honor Dr. King’s values of peace, love, and justice. 

Unintentionally, unrelated to our event, there was a walkout related to ICE today. Please note, our event is completely unrelated to the ICE walkout.

今天，我們學校意外地發生了與美國移民及海關執法局（ICE）相關的罷課活動，但這與我們學校的活動無關。請注意，我們的活動與此次罷課活動完全沒有關聯。

Saludos, Comunidad de MLK:

Cada año, nuestra escuela organiza una marcha para celebrar la historia del Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., en cuyo honor llevamos nuestro nombre.

Comenzamos a planificar la marcha unos meses antes de la festividad, que fue el 19 de enero de 2026. Aprovechamos la marcha para aprender sobre las luchas de esa época y honrar los valores del Dr. King: paz, amor y justicia.

Involuntariamente, sin relación con nuestro evento, hoy hubo una huelga relacionada con ICE. Tengan en cuenta que nuestro evento no tiene ninguna relación con la huelga de ICE.

Gracias por su apoyo a la Escuela Secundaria MLK.
