Everett Middle School

Introduction

Exterior of Everett Middle School
Everett Middle School's vision is that students leave 8th grade on or above grade level and empowered to change the world. To accomplish this, we offer an inclusive school model where, regardless of whether a student is an English learner or has an IEP, they are challenged, supported, and celebrated in the general education classroom.

Programs

Languages

Everett's dual immersion pathway is delivered in one of the three blocked classes. Our non-fiction studies (NFS) class is where students received their science and history curriculum. For students in our dual immersion pathway, they receive this class completely in Spanish. This allows them to be mixed with general education students for the remainder of their school day.

We are also a proud newcomer pathway school. Newcomer English learners receive half of their day's instruction in sheltered classes that are focused on developing emerging English reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

School Data

School Accountability Report Card (SARC)

School Accountability Report Cards (SARCs) are required by state law and are intended to provide families with important information.

School Accountability Highlights

Published annually by SFUSD to provide access to key data points and three-year trends related to student achievement and school culture-climate. The highlights are available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Filipino, and Vietnamese.

Social-Emotional and Culture Climate Report

SFUSD annually surveys families and school staff on a range of school climate indicators that have been found to predict positive student academic achievement. The social-emotional learning of students in grades 4-12 is also assessed.

School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA)

School communities gather twice a year to review data and previous actions in order to intentionally plan for the coming months. The School Plan for Student Achievement is the template on which this review and stakeholder engagement process is codified.
