If a student will remain at home, the parent/ guardian/caregiver must communicate with the school before or on the day of absence.

Verification of student absences is accepted only from parents/guardians/caregivers, or the student if they are 18 years old or older.

If a student has unexcused absences, the school will send letters home, call the student’s home, and request meetings with the parent/guardian to develop an action plan and identify any support services the family needs to help the student get to school. 

Satisfactory school attendance and school behavior are typically conditions set forth by the court as a condition of probation.

4.2 Academic Guidelines

All students are expected to complete their own academic assignments and examinations. Any type of academic dishonesty, including but not limited to cheating, plagiarism, submitting work done by another as your own, or using unauthorized technology is prohibited.

A student may drop a five credit high school course without penalty up to six weeks after enrolling in the class with the approval of their parent/guardian/caregiver, counselor, and teacher.
