At Willie L. Brown Jr. Middle School, students learn to use project-based STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) practices to develop the foundational skills and beliefs needed to successfully major in STEM degrees and pursue STEM careers. Students use technology as a tool to explore their identities, expand their possibilities, and be of service to others.

Mission:  The Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Arts is a college preparatory school that provides an experience uniquely rooted in dynamic arts programs that reflect our city’s cultural diversity.

VISION: A premier performing arts middle school that prepares the Aptos Scholar to master academic standards, demonstrates 21st century skills, develops unique perspectives to navigate high school and ultimately the world with a sense of purpose, while upholding the Tiger Values.
