SFUSD Staff Update

Welcome back to SY 2025-26. If you are new to SFUSD and the ASCIP E-Learning platform, you should have received a welcome email from @ascip.org on August 12, 2025.

In the Fall of 2025, beginning on August 19th, all K-12 school facilities will be inspected by an independent consultant in compliance with the Williams Settlement Legislation and SARC Reporting. The Facilities Inspectors will be visiting all rooms to determine whether the facility is in good repair.

Planning for assessment administration and data inquiry cycles has begun. Use the 2025-26 SFUSD Assessment Plan and Calendar to inform planning at your school. Read to find out details regarding the SFUSD Assessment System, timeline, assessment updates, and next steps.

SFUSD is currently examining how to respond to new national and state policies regarding LGBTQ+ inclusion. No changes to current policy have been made yet.

Google has recently updated how sharing and permissions work in Google Forms. These changes give you more control over who can access your forms, especially those shared publicly.

The Department of Technology is performing a one-time, remote reset on all district-issued K-3 Chromebooks. This process will remove all saved student profiles from last year, improving performance and ensuring a clean login experience for everyone.

Beginning in 2025–2026, students in kindergarten, grade one, and grade two must be screened for reading difficulties per Education Code Section 53008. All K-2 Educators and school leaders are required to attend training in administering, interpreting, utilizing, and communicating screening results to families. All K-2 Teachers will learn more about the NEW Reading Difficulties Screener (RDS) on August 14.

For those receiving direct deposits, the pay stub for monthly certificated employees was available on Wednesday, July 30. A notification with a link to access the pay stub was sent to employees on July 30.
