Summer Meal Program: Come Visit SNS at over 40 Schools for Breakfast and Lunch!
SFUSD Student Nutrition Services will once again offer free breakfast and lunch to all youth ages 18 and under in San Francisco this summer, an extension of its offering of free school meals for students during the school year.
The meals will be available at over 80 schools with summer programming in June and July. Of the 80-plus school sites serving summer meals, over 40 sites will be open to youth in the community regardless of enrollment in summer programs. Please note that all meals must be eaten at the school site. Visit sfusd.edu/schoolfood for a map and a list of sites open to the community.
SNS Celebrated the End of the School Year with Food & Community
Student Nutrition Services closed out the regular school year with a celebration full of food and community! Our Culinary team came together to cook a wonderful spread of seasonal fruits and vegetables, hot dogs, hamburgers and veggie burgers, barbeque ribs, and more. With over 200 SNS Dining Staff spread out across 120 school sites, many members of our team don’t get to know each other very well. Activities like team bingo allowed everyone to go around and learn a little about people who were new to them. SFUSD School Food wouldn’t be possible without our entire network of dedicated individuals who collaborate daily. See more of the celebration in our End of the School Year photo album.

Recognizing SFUSD School Lunch Heroes
It takes a network of dedicated food professionals to keep students nourished at school and ready to learn. Our Student Nutrition Services Dining Staff members are the hands and hearts who have worked so hard to make daily mealtimes special for students. Our gratitude extends to all of the wonderful student nutrition teams across San Francisco that choose to support kids with nutritious food in a welcoming environment every day!
