Dear Visitacion Valley Elementary School Community,

I am honored to serve as the new principal of Visitacion Valley Elementary for the 2025–2026 school year. With great enthusiasm, I join this vibrant community of learners, educators, and families.

My career in education has been guided by a commitment to building strong relationships, fostering inclusive and supportive environments, and ensuring every child feels valued and empowered to succeed. I believe that trust, collaboration, and a shared dedication to excellence are at the heart of a thriving school—and I look forward to continuing that tradition here.

I am deeply passionate about education as both a profession and a calling. Together, we will work to create a joyful, equitable, and culturally responsive learning environment where all students can thrive.

Hello Visitacion Valley Community,

My name is Diane Thompson and I am thrilled to be your new Assistant Principal for the 2025-2026 school year.  I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to serve in this community.  It is an honor to return to my own elementary school and neighborhood and pour back into the community that helped to shape who I’ve become.

I am excited to work alongside our new Principal, Mrs. Sarah Seaton, as well as continue to support our amazing staff, student body, families, and collaborate with our community partners. I am fully committed to working together to interrupt inequalities that impact student achievement, prioritize high-quality teaching and learning, and help cultivate a school community where everyone feels safe, a sense of belonging, and where we all are challenged to become the best version of ourselves.
