Students at Glen Park, Lakeshore Test Negative for COVID-19 Link to this section
March 15, 2020
SFUSD has learned from the Department of Public Health that the students from Lakeshore and Glen Park elementary schools who reported respiratory illness tested negative for coronavirus or COVID-19.
This means there are no confirmed cases of coronavirus or COVID-19 in SFUSD.
After learning this news, the district updated the respective school communities over the weekend to let the families and staff know that based on the recommendation of the Department of Public Health, families and staff no longer need to self-quarantine. This means families and staff are not required to stay home, although they should continue to take the same precautions health officials are asking everyone to take at this time. If someone becomes sick, they should seek care from their medical provider.
All SFUSD schools remain closed to students through April 3. Please visit sfusd.edu/schoolclosure for more information about meals and childcare resources during this time.
