SFUSD is committed to strong family–school partnerships. Each year, districts must share the Board Policy on Parent Engagement (BP 6020) and the Administrative Regulation (AR 6020), which outline how families are informed of their rights and how they can participate in decision-making, support learning at home, and engage in school and district activities.
Current California credentialed teachers can apply for a scholarship of up to $2,500 or free classes to earn a Bilingual Authorization in an Asian language through the CSU Asian Language Bilingual Teacher Education Program Consortium. Participants must demonstrate language proficiency, complete required coursework and seminars, and commit to teaching in an Asian dual language program.
CBEI and the California Department of Education offer financial assistance, mentorship, and resources to support educators pursuing National Board Certification, whether you're just exploring the process or already on your way.
