Director of Communications

Laura Dudnick serves as the Director of Communications. She has worked at SFUSD since 2018, leading strategic communications and improvement of public outreach and information channels for diverse and multilingual audiences, including prospective and current SFUSD families and staff, and the media. Under Laura’s leadership, the Communications team manages the district’s communications strategy, media relations, and districtwide channels including the website; family, staff, and student newsletters; and other print and digital communications systems. Laura also leads the district’s crisis communications support for school sites and districtwide incidents.
