SFUSD will automatically enroll all TK-2 families in the Ready4Learning text messaging program during the 2020-2021 school year at no cost to families.

Ready4Learning is a free resource that texts tips to families about reading, math, science, social emotional learning, and approaches to parenting. Each family can receive texts for up to three children.

Each week families receive three texts with fun facts and tips on ways to help children learn and grow. Ready4Learning builds on daily routines and sends messages that match a child’s age.

In 2019-2020 school year, over 1,500 PreK through 2nd grade SFUSD families signed up to receive these texts. The families enrolled in Ready4Learning last year reported the service is a helpful resource for supporting their children.

While there is no cost for the service, data and message rates may apply. Families can opt out of the texts at any time by texting STOP to 70138.
