Announcement Message

San Francisco's Kindergarten to College (K2C) program announces that its Art & Video Contests will take place in March. Student participants can create a video or a piece of art that represents the theme “A Future Worth Saving For”.

The contests will begin on Tuesday, March 1st and the submission deadline will be on Thursday, March 31st at 5 PM.

K2C will select  three city-wide honorees for each grade range and award scholarships up to $500. The first 50 entries for the two contests, art or video, will also receive a $20 incentive in their K2C account towards their college savings.

All current San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) K-11th grade students with active Kindergarten to College (K2C) savings accounts are invited to participate in either contest.

Students from underrepresented groups in higher education are especially encouraged to participate, including students with disabilities, Latinx students, Black students, Pacific Islander students, students who have experienced homelessness or are foster youth, undocumented students, and students who are the first in their families to attend college.
