San Francisco Bike & Roll to School Week 2022, April 18-22

The SF Safe Routes to School Partnership SF Bike & Roll to School Week celebration will be April 18-22!

Bike & Roll to School Week celebrates getting around under our own power. Whether students are on a bike, scooter, wheelchair, or skateboard, it’s healthy, green, and FUN. Walking and transit counts too! Sign up your school and join the fun!

The two main school activities are:

1. The School Celebration (registration form here) — encourage everyone at your school to bike, skate, scoot, or otherwise roll (or walk!), and incentivize them with stickers, rewards, music, or anything else your imagination comes up with.

   Helpful Info: 

• Anyone can sign up:
  • Any member of a school’s community can sign up to participate here, whether you’re a student, teacher, parent, or school staff member.
• Thank you gift for the “Bike & Roll Champion”:
  • The student organizer receives a thank-you gifts, including a special reward provided by Sports Basement 
• Incentives and outreach materials:
  • Each school will receive an outreach material kit full of goodies to incentivize and reward students on your day of celebration! 
• All forms of rolling encouraged:
  • Everyone is encouraged to bring out all forms of rolling: bikes, skateboards, scooters, wheelchairs, and more!
• Pick your day to celebrate:
  • You get to choose the best day of the week for your school's Bike & Roll to School celebration 
• Take the pledge:
  • Not ready to organize your school? You can still pledge to participate here. 

2. Bike and Roll To School Week 2022 Art Contest

• Student art helps spread the word and raise awareness about Bike & Roll to School Week. 
• Winners receive gift cards from Blick Art Supply! One grand prize winner’s art will be featured on the 2023 Bike & Roll to School Week poster!
• Deadline for entries: April 30.
