Schoolyard Improvement Stakeholder Meeting on April 5

Come to the Schoolyard Improvement Stakeholder meeting on April 5 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. to give District staff feedback on our approach to improving schoolyards.

In October, 2021, SFUSD’s Board of Education voted to reallocate up to $14 million in school bond funds towards greening schoolyards, schoolyard improvements and building outdoor learning spaces.  

SFUSD Chief Facilities Officer, Dawn Kamalanathan and Facilities staff will be hosting a dynamic stakeholder meeting where staff will:

  • Discuss our draft plan to measure the impact of the projects implemented with reallocated bond funds,
  • Propose a process for selecting sites that will benefit from these funds, and
  • Lead a discussion on what the scope and scale of impact for these projects could be.
