Announcement Message

The importance of a family support system in the education of our children can never be
underestimated, particularly when their education presents challenges to the system that educators
find difficult to address. We cannot just expect that if we place them in the right district, the right
school, find the right program and the right classroom that they will achieve at the level we would
like without our continuing vigilance and by maintaining effective partnerships.

This presentation focuses on interpersonal, instructional and institutional impediments to promoting powerful learning communities for our youth and addresses how to adopt the cultural lens required to work collaboratively to achieve the goals desired to maximize the success of our most challenged young people.
