Announcement Message

April is Public Schools Month, and the SF Ed Fund is celebrating and amplifying the countless reasons to be proud of SF public schools!

Reasons like the incredible third grade teacher who helped you first discover your love of math... or how your child can’t stop talking about the incredible science lab from last week.

While not ignoring the very real challenges districts across the country are facing, including our own, the SF Ed Fund believes strongly in the importance of keeping the focus where it belongs: the 49,000+ amazing young people in SF public schools, their families, and the teachers and staff who are building back from the extensive disruptions and trauma of the pandemic.

The SF Ed Fund is calling on community members to share why they’re public school proud! Here’s how you can get involved:

1. Grab a piece of paper (or use the SF Ed Fund’s template: https://bit.ly/3Ma71ty), write down why you’re public school proud, take a photo of yourself holding it, post it on social media and tag #SFPSProud and #SFEdFund.

2. Email the photo or video to SFPSProud@sfedfund.org and we may potentially amplify on our social channels. Learn more about the campaign here: https://bit.ly/3uTwUH3
