May 22: Asawa SOTA World Music Concert (Free for SFUSD Students)

A grand showcase of Japanese Taiko, Afro-Cuban, Afro-Brazilian drumming, Filipino Kulintang, Reggae-Frevo and Jazz ensembles featuring the department’s student performers and the dynamic curriculum of this San Francisco Unified School arts program, the only public school program in the nation offering hands-on percussion and musical instruction from ethnic cultures around the globe.  

Four benefit concerts will take place May 19-22, 2022 at the ODC Theater at 3153 17th St, San Francisco (ADA accessible).

Sunday, 5/22 - 3:00 pm matinee is FREE FOR ALL SFUSD students of all ages!!  

Join us, and bring your SFUSD friends and their families!  Perfect for those middle-school students curious about the SOTA World Music Program, friends of our amazing World Music students, and an amazing opportunity to broaden our youth’s exposure to world cultures right here in San Francisco!
