SFUSD Celebrates Inclusive Schools Week Dec. 5-9!

SFUSD is once again celebrating Inclusive Schools Week, Dec. 5-9, 2022. This annual event celebrates the progress schools have made toward providing an inclusive education for our diverse student population and our students marginalized due to disability, gender, socio-economics status, cultural heritage, language preference and other factors.

This is a wonderful opportunity for ALL of our teachers, staff, families and students to celebrate and raise awareness and sense of belonging in our schools.

Things you can do -

1. Check out sfusd.edu/sped for activities, reading materials and other resources that celebrate inclusion. 

2. Encourage students to submit art to the Inclusive Arts Showcase. We are accepting submissions of visual and performing arts, including paintings, sketches, photography, song, dance, music, spoken word, creative writing and more. Use the theme as your inspiration! Click here to submit your work!
