About The Superintendent’s 21st Century Award

The Superintendent’s 21st Century Award will be granted to six graduating SFUSD seniors who exemplify a particular strength in one or more of the characteristics of the SFUSD Graduate Profile. All SFUSD seniors are eligible for this award regardless of citizenship status. Winners will each receive a $2,000 scholarship.

Your checklist for a complete application:

Step 1:

Prepare your essay, in less than 1,000 words, describing how you exemplify one of the characteristics in the Graduate Profile and how your SFUSD experience supported your development in this area (we know you may exemplify several, but please select only one to focus on for this essay).

Step 2:

Prepare two letters of recommendation. If those writing letters of recommendation prefer to send them directly rather than have the student applying include them as attachments, please email them to sammonk@sfusd.edu, and the applicant should attach a file/s that says "sent directly to Spark".

Step 3:

Fill out an application form online and attach your essay and letters of recommendation.
