Art Contest 2023: Chinatown Through Children's Lens

This art contest aims to promote creativity and engage the community in learning about Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) cultural heritage.

Open to 4 to 16 year old children & youth residing in the Bay Area.

Artwork must be drawn entirely and completed by hand. No digital tools on the computer are allowed. The dimensions must be 11" x 14".

Group A: 4-7 year olds

Group B: 8-11 year olds 

Group C: 12-16 year olds 

Awards for winners in each group 

1st Place: $200 award 

2nd Place: $100 award

3rd Place: $50 award 

Ten merit prizes: $15 award each

One overall champion: $300 award 

Award winners' artwork placement 

Award winners’ artwork will become part of the Portsmouth Square Garage photo exhibition for 2 months.

An award ceremony will be held in April.
