Please see the following opportunities for youth in San Francisco during SFUSD’s Spring Break. Please note that capacity is limited and is determined by the individual organizations providing the services. We encourage families interested in these opportunities to contact the provider(s) directly to find out more.

  • Indochinese Housing Development Center (IHDC)/TAG will be offering a Spring Break Adventure Camp Monday - Thursday (3/27 - 3/30) for youth K-8th grade.  A few slots left that are free for families!

  • Treasure Island Y (749 9th Street) will be hosting Spring Break Camp, M-F 8:30am-6:30pm (must be Treasure Island resident or Hope SF Residents, Housing Development Residents, SRO’s, Foster Care, Homeless Youth, or Families in Low income situations)

  • TEL HI Beacon - soccer camp at Crocker Amazon for 15-20 students during Spring Break; most of them are on the Francisco Middle School Beacon team in the America SCORES league. On March 28 a group of 10-12 students will take a kayaking trip through Environmental Traveling Companions, with three Beacon staff members (unless the weather is bad). On March 29 15-20 students and four staff members are visiting the animal sanctuary Charlie's Acres for the day. 3-on-3 basketball tournament in the Tenderloin with the TL After-school collaborative, includes Arab-speaking support.

  • YMCA (Various sites): The following YMCA branches are offering Spring Break as fee-based programming with financial assistance. Space available at a few branches.
    • Buchanan – M-F 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
    • Chinatown – M-F 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
    • Mission – M-F 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Full with waitlist)
    • Richmond – M-F 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
    • Stonestown – M-F 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Full with waitlist)
  • Richmond District YMCA – Camp program at Argonne Clubhouse, 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. Fee based with some financial assistance.
  • Mission YMCA Spring Break Camp, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

  • Chinatown YMCA Spring Break Camp, Monday – Friday, 8:30-5:30pm, facility member: $300 and community member: $350, financial aid available.

  • Hunters Point Family – Programming offered all week, M-F from 9am-7pm.

  • Telegraph Hill Neighborhood Center – Spring Break Camping trip. March 29th – March 30th. No cost and three meals a day.
    • ESA – All day programming 9am-5pm, field trips and various STEAM activities, all week. Fee: $40, sliding scale or full financial assistance available.
    • Futurama – All day homework help on Monday and Tuesday, 10am-6pm. Wednesday-Friday, 3-day sleepover camping trip in Half Moon Bay area. No fee for Futurama participants.

  • Hamilton Families – Tuesday – Thursday, 9am-5:30pm. For shelter transition youth already enrolled in HOST, there is no waitlist as they are not open to the public and there are no fees.

  • Sunset Youth Services

  • YouthSF – M-F, 10am-1pm. Hosting robot and building challenges. No fee.

  • Glide Afterschool and Summer Program. Monday-Thursday, closed Friday for Cesar Chavez Day, 8:30am-6pm. No fee.

  • Wah Mei School – 1400 Judah Street, 9am-5pm, $200 fee, financial aid available. Some slots available.
  • Boys & Girls Clubs – Clubs will be open, Monday – Friday, 10am-6pm. Columbia Park, Excelsior, and Don Fisher Clubs will be offering early bird (opening at 9am) for their families but there is a $5 daily charge for that service. 
  • Boys and Girls Club Tenderloin – Monday – Friday, Ages 6 – 18. $25 fee with membership.
  • Breakthrough – for students already enrolled in programming, no drop-ins.

  • Booker T. Washington Community Service Center
    • Spring Break Community Basketball Clinic at Chase Center’s Thrive City, Wednesday, March 29th. The event will include basketball instruction from Warriors Basketball Academy, fitness and wellness activities, as well as a Chase Center tour. In addition to the programming, the youth will receive meals, jerseys and giveaways for the and we will coordinate bus transportation. We're opening up slots to other Fillmore youth organizations like Collective Impact and Prince Hall.

  • Catholic Charities – Spring Break programming. Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5pm, Grades K-5. Scholarships and financial aid for qualifying families, as well as a 20% sibling discount.  The cost for the whole week is $125 or $25 per day, each child.  The price includes breakfast, lunch, snack, and field trip transportation and admission.
