About the Youth Advisory Board:

The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is a dedicated group of teen artists (ages 15-18) who work to promote and facilitate teen involvement at Southern Exposure (SoEx).

In weekly meetings, YAB members organize art events, exhibitions, and projects for SoEx. YAB will have opportunities to collaborate with the artists and curators involved with the SoEx community.

YAB fosters and supports an understanding of art presentation formats, the contemporary cultural landscape, art institutional systems and how power might operate within these structures.

YAB supports young artists in developing their voices as leaders. We consider the students who participate to be an integral part of the community of SoEx.

Stipend:

YAB members will receive a stipend of $150 in December 2023 and again May 2024 for their participation on the program.
