The San Francisco Youth Commission (SFYC) was excited to announce the application 2025/2026 SFYC on March 28! To be eligible to serve, you must be a resident of San Francisco and be between the ages of 12 and 23 years old. Commissioners serve 1-year terms from August to July. Applicants should expect to spent at least 10 hours a month to work on Youth Commission work, and will be supported by three dedicated SFYC staff.
The SFYC application consists of six essay-style questions, demographic questions, and an optional letter of recommendation. There's also an alternative choice to submit a video answering the six questions instead of the written format.
