Mission Voices Summer (MVS) gives youth artists ages 14-19 the opportunity to explore relevant social and personal issues through a visual arts intensive program that results in a group exhibition on view to the public. MVS focuses on arts-based community development by pairing local artists with teens to develop visual arts projects unified by a single contemporary theme. MVS teaches youth to use the visual arts as a tool to express their creative voices and to make a visual statement about their ideas, interests and ambitions. MVS is a chance for youth to realize their fullest potential in conceptual artistic practice in tandem with individualized creativity.
This program runs from June 9 to July 3. Meetings are Monday through Thursday 1-4 p.m. each day.
Any questions or if you are having trouble submitting the form, contact Southern Exposure's Artist in Education Program Manager, Simon Tran at simon@soex.org and check out the Southern Exposure website at soex.org.
