Creating a Welcoming Student Dining Environment

In SFUSD Dining Spaces, all students are welcome. We strive to cultivate an environment where all students feel comfortable, welcome, and encouraged. We know that nourished kids make great students! We work to create an environment where everyone in the space is treated with respect. That includes the dining staff who prepare and serve meals, custodial staff who ensure the space is clean, and anyone else who may be present. A welcoming and dignified dining experience helps students feel comfortable coming back to the dining space and nourishing their bodies.
