Announcement Message

Every year on Oct. 10, World Homeless Day is observed internationally. This day is meant to raise awareness of those experiencing homelessness and/or housing insecurity. It is also used to promote the organizations that support unhoused communities, and is an opportunity to advocate for improved systems to support those who are experiencing homelessness.

You can learn more on how to bring awareness to this day by visiting https://www.worldhomelessday.org/.

Last year, Santa Barbara Aliance for Community Transformation promoted World Homeless Day by sharing the stories of 9 locals who had experience with homelessness, to prove that everyone has a story. You can view their stories here: Philip's Story: World Homeless Day 2024
