SEL/Culture-Climate surveys provide important information that we use in school planning and evaluating our priority work.For those new(er) to this process: There are 3 SEL/Culture-Climate surveys—one for students (grades 4-12), one for staff, and one for all PK-12 families. This year’s survey window will be March 2, 2026 - March 19, 2026.   

What is Happening Now: 

  • Passive consent forms will be sent via ParentVue to families for the student survey beginning January 13, 2026. This message can be found here - including translations. Remember passive consent means that only those families who do not want their child to complete the student survey need to return the letter! 

Families are instructed to send opt-out requests to sel@sfusd.edu by January 23, 2026
