SFUSD Reaches Tentative Agreement with UESF

Dear SFUSD Community,

I am grateful to share with you that we have reached a tentative agreement with the United Educators of San Francisco (UESF) that honors our educators. 

Please be advised that all SFUSD schools and work sites are open to staff only on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026 as a transition day. Staff should report to their regular work sites. 

Per the district academic calendar, schools and offices are closed for Presidents Day on Monday, Feb. 16, and schools are closed for Lunar New Year on Tuesday, Feb. 17. SFUSD schools will reopen to all students and resume normal operations on Wednesday, Feb. 18.

I recognize that this past week has been challenging. Thank you to the SFUSD staff, community-based partners, and faith and city leaders who partnered with us to continue centering our students in our work every day.

I am so proud of the resilience and strength of our community. This is a new beginning, and I want to celebrate our diverse community of educators, administrators, parents, and students as we come together and heal.
