Invitation to Serve on Voices Curriculum Review Committee

SFUSD is inviting educators, families, and community members to serve on the Voices Curriculum Review Committee. This is an opportunity to work together to review and strengthen the district’s pilot Ethnic Studies curriculum and ensure it reflects our values and the diversity of San Francisco: 

The committee will: 

  • Review materials from the Voices curriculum
  • Use an SFUSD rubric to assess standards alignment, culturally responsive teaching, literacy development, equitable access, and teacher usability. 

This process is about rating the quality and effectiveness of the current pilot Voices materials—not debating broader Ethnic Studies policy. 

Committee members will: 

  • Meet in person on March 14 and March 21
  • Complete independent scoring between meetings
  • Collaborate to provide feedback that will guide next steps for Ethnic Studies in SFUSD
