Annual Information and Resource Conference

A free conference for families of children with disabilities, the professionals who work with them, and community members. Hosted in partnership by Support for Families and SFUSD Special Education Services with support from the SFUSD Community Advisory Committee for Special Education.

What to Expect

Exhibitor & Resource Fair

Meet community organizations, school-based programs, and service providers. Learn abut programs, services, and supports available to children, youth, young adults, and their families- all in one place!

Workshops & Panel Discussions

Practical workshops and panels led by experts and people with lived experience, designed for families and the professionals who support them. 

Workshops will explore topics like: 

  1. Getting Started & Building Foundations
  2. Early Intervention 
  3. Know Your Rights & How to Use Them 
  4. Advocacy Tools for Navigating Education, Disability & Service Systems
  5. Understanding Your Support System 
  6. Schools, Regional Centers, Health Care, Community Partners & How They Work Together
  7. Growing Up & Looking Ahead 
  8. Healthy Sexuality & Relationships
  9. Transition to Adulthood

Lunch is provided at no cost to families, and there will be community spaces where families and professionals are invited to connect, including language-specific spaces in English, Spanish, and Cantonese. There will also be a sensory activity room!
