5th and 8th Grade Biliteracy Recognition for SFUSD Language Programs

The Multilingual Pathways Department will award the Biliteracy Program Participation Recognition to all 5th and 8th graders in language programs leading to bilingualism and biliteracy, as encouraged by the California Department of Education.

The Biliteracy Program Participation Recognition celebrates students who are actively learning English and another language.

We aim to recognize the development of language skills amongst 5th and 8th grade students enrolled in our language programs, encourage students to connect with and preserve their home language and culture, and/or learn a new language and culture.
