Announcement Message

We are excited to recruit for the Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist (MPSS) Training provided by NAMI California.

This free training is a great opportunity for individuals interested in supporting others in their mental health recovery journey and pursuing employment or volunteer opportunities within the mental health system.

The MPSS Training is an 80-hour, live online course via Zoom in a cohort-style format. Participants will learn the 17 core competencies identified by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), including the recovery model, communication skills, trauma-informed care, cultural competency, and Medi-Cal code of ethics.

After completing the training and receiving a certificate of completion, NAMI San Francisco will provide career counseling and job placement support, either as a volunteer or as an employee with a paid position, within the public mental health system.

SFUSD neither endorses nor sponsors the organization or activity described in this announcement. This distribution is provided as a community service.
