Keepin’ It Safe in the City: Free Public Safety Event for Families – October 17, 2026

The San Francisco District Attorney’s Office invites SFUSD students and families to Keepin’ It Safe in the City, a free public safety community event on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Civic Center Plaza. 

Designed especially for families with children ages 5–12, the event brings together local public safety agencies and community partners for a fun and engaging day focused on safety, learning, and community.

Families can meet local public safety professionals, explore fire trucks and other public safety vehicles, and enjoy bounce houses, hands-on activities, face painting, music, food, potential giveaways, and more. 

Families will also have opportunities to learn about public safety and connect with community resources. 

The event is free and open to the community, and families are encouraged to register in advance.
