Beginning in September 2026, when an initial translation request is submitted for an assessment report, we will translate the following sections:

Reason for referral

Evaluation methods
-
Background information
-
Interviews and Observations
-
Summary of findings
-
Special education eligibility review
-
Recommendations
This process applies only to assessment reports. IEP documents will continue to be translated as submitted.
The purpose of this process is to help parents and guardians receive key translated information in a timely manner.
A full translation will be provided upon a parent’s or guardian’s request after they have reviewed the initially translated sections. School staff must arrange for an interpreter to be present at the meeting where the assessment report is reviewed and discussed with the parent or guardian.
