Apply to Join TK-8 Mandarin Immersion School Working Group

SFUSD is opening a new TK-8 Mandarin Immersion School, which will welcome its first TK and K students in Fall 2027. The school will add one grade each year until it reaches full TK-8 enrollment in 2035. It will open at a temporary site for the 2027-28 school year and move to a permanent location in Fall 2028.

SFUSD is forming a working group to recommend a permanent location to the Superintendent. All interested community members are encouraged to apply by Sunday, October 4 at 11:59 p.m.

The group is expected to meet monthly from October through January to develop its recommendation. Meetings will be held in-person at 555 Franklin St.
