Congratulations to the Golden State Valkyries, our 2026 WNBA Champions! We are writing to share additional information about your child’s school day given the parade tomorrow, Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

All SFUSD schools will be open tomorrow, Wednesday, November 4 on their regular schedules. We look forward to seeing our students at school, where classes will continue as usual.

What Families Should Know:

  • Attendance: Regular school attendance rules apply. Attending the parade is not an excused absence.
  • Field Trips: Schools will not take students to the parade.
  • Travel: Some streets near The Embarcadero will be closed until 4 p.m., and several Muni routes will be affected until about 3 p.m. Please allow extra time for drop-off, pickup, and other travel. You can find additional details about street closures and transit schedules at SFMTA.com/Valkyries.

If you have questions, please contact your school.

Thank you for your partnership, and again, congratulations to the Valkyries!
