ExCEL Institute - August 2026

ExCEL's August Institute will be in person at John O'Connell HS, over two days:

• Wednesday, August 5th
• Thursday, August 6th

> There is limited parking in the yard behind the school - the entrance is from Harrison St., near 20th (near the small soccer pitch). If that fills up there is parking on the street.  You can bring a bike or scooter inside if that's how you roll!

• All Program Managers, Beacon Directors and Site Coordinators are expected to attend both days, and are required to attend the Mandated Reporter training on August 6th.   Program Leaders are welcome to attend the Mandated Reporter training as well.

• Breakfast, lunch & snacks will be provided both days, based on the RSVPs received by the July 24th deadline.

• Review the Agenda & breakout sessions for both days, and connect with your team to decide which breakout sessions each staff member will participate in & represent your CBO.  Check out our short video about the Institute!

• Be sure to bring a laptop or device to complete action items throughout the day.

• Develop your CBO/site plan for how & when staff will connect afterward, to share their learning & next/action steps with their teams.
