Fraud, Waste, Abuse Hotline – General Information Link to this section
General Information Link to this section
Internal Audit conducts audits and investigations to assist management and employees in improving operations by promoting efficiency, accountability, effective internal controls, and compliance with the District’s policies and procedures.
Internal Audit also operates the Financial Fraud Hotline, which provides a convenient way for anyone to report suspected financial fraud, waste and abuse, or misconduct within the District. Reports can be submitted online 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Complaints involving personnel matters or management are not investigated by Internal Audit unless there is evidence of potential wrongdoing. To help ensure that your report receives appropriate attention, please provide reliable, accurate, and detailed information.
Before submitting a report, verify the spelling of names and, when available, provide employee or vendor identification numbers, position and program titles, work location, applicable funding source (e.g., bond funds, Title I funds, etc.), and any other relevant details. Providing complete and accurate information will help Internal Audit assess and address your report appropriately.

Information reported to Internal Audit is confidential, subject to applicable laws and disclosure requirements. Identifying information, as well as personal papers or correspondence provided by individuals reporting information, will not be disclosed except as required by law or court order. Information may also be disclosed when Internal Audit determines doing so is necessary to serve the interests of the District.
The fraud hotline is not intended to replace established procedures for addressing instructional or curricular concerns, student complaints, employment-related grievances, and appeals. Existing District policies and procedures provide appropriate channels for resolving these matters.
