A recently passed Senate Bill is requiring a once per year child abuse/neglect prevention training for volunteers who interact with student while outside of direct supervision of a parent/guardian or school employee.
Per Education Code Section 53008, all K-2 students will participate in a Required Reading Difficulties Screening. Grades 1-2 will be screened using Amira ISIP (BOY Benchmark) from Oct. 5-30; Kindergarten will be screened using DIBELS from Jan. 25-Feb. 19.
