This is an opportunity to work together to review and strengthen the district’s pilot Ethnic Studies curriculum and ensure it reflects our values and the diversity of San Francisco. We are excited to announce there is a new Biliteracy Program Participation Recognition Award promoted by the California Department of Education available to all 5th graders enrolled in programs leading to bilingualism and biliteracy. This award serves as an entry point on a student’s pathway to earning the Seal of Biliteracy upon graduation from high school.
