Last month, Superintendent Wayne declared a payroll state of emergency to accelerate our efforts and do right by our employees. Here is an update on our progress.
The CCEIS (Comprehensive Coordinated Early Intervening Services) team members are recruiting Black classified/certificated staff, community-based organizations (affiliated with SFUSD), retirees from SFUSD, AND Parents/Caregivers to be a part of sharing thoughts and solutions that help to interrupt the over-representation of Black students going into Special Education under emotional disturbance and other specific criteria.
More students are now eligible for transitional kindergarten (TK)! Students born Sept. 2, 2018 through Apr. 2, 2019 can now apply for the 2023-24 school year.

The SMART+ program is an academic and enrichment program for underrepresented middle school students, informed by project-based, experiential learning activities with the goal of helping students learn and apply STEAM-based lessons to real-world settings and situations.
BridgeWhiz is a free online course designed to teach students in grades 4 through 12 the mind-building challenge, great fun, and competitive excitement of contract bridge, which will nurture your child’s team and individual competitive spirit.
The Randall Museum is excited to host the San Francisco Middle School Science fair again this school year. We are returning to an in-person showcase and competition with an awards day to celebrate our amazing young scientists!
