Annual Fall Festival Week
Hello McCoppin Dragon Community,
Mark your calendars for the week starting Monday, October 26, because it’s time for the annual McCoppin Fall Festival!!!
Join this year’s festivities from the comfort of home with a Fall Festival Box and a week of virtual community events.
The festivities begin with the distribution of our stay home version of the festival - Fall-Festival-in-a-Box! Festival activities will include: live craft and art sessions (via Zoom), box decorating, guessing competition, coloring competition, monster hunt and a magic show.
As in years past, the Fall Festival is sponsored by the PTO and is one of our fundraising events. Boxes are $25 and will include activities, treats and surprises. The PTO ensures that ALL students will receive a box regardless of ability to pay, but please consider purchasing an additional box or two to help bridge the cost for those who can’t. All money raised goes back to the school and directly benefits all students. Your donation is tax deductible.
To buy a Fall Festival Box and make additional donations:
- write a check - payable to FMES PTO. Please include your child’s name so we can acknowledge your tax deductible gift.
- donate online at https://www.sfusd.edu/school/frank-mccoppin-elementary-school/contribute/donate (via Paypal). You will need to specify ‘Fall Festival’ donation and your child’s name under special instructions so we can acknowledge your tax deductible gift.
Please make your payment by Monday, October 26th.
We are aiming to have the boxes ready for pick up on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October. Boxes can be collected from your Room Parent or other PTO volunteer’s home.
A sign up sheet for social distance collection will be distributed soon. If you are unable to pick up your students’ box, please reach out to another family in your class or a nearby McCoppin family who might be able to pick up for you.
Please have a look at the Amazon wishlist and if you can, please donate some items to make the Fall Festival in a Box even more fun for our kids.
Guessing Competition - can someone supply a jar filled with something like candy - that’s the prize!
The Fall Festival committee is also accepting donations of candy bought from your store of choice - (Dum dums, Tootsie Rolls, Starburst, Skittles etc, but remember NOTHING CONTAINING NUTS). These need to be delivered to your designated Room Parent /PTO Volunteer by Monday 10/19 so they have time to finish packing the boxes.
We still need helpers to pack kits for the box and/or distribute boxes.
