WHAT IS THE JBBP PTCC? Link to this section
The Parent Teacher Community Council (PTCC) is the parent group that supports the Japanese Bilingual Bicultural Program at Rosa Parks Elementary.
All guardians of students of the JBBP program are members of the PTCC and welcome at our monthly board meetings. The board is made up of parents that are elected each spring. They ensure that the program is supported.
The PTCC ensures that the Sensei and teachers of the JBBP are supported, classrooms are provided for, and the fundraising and community building events of the year are planned. In addition to the many cultural celebrations that take place in the classroom, our signature events of the year are:
- Undokai Sports Day in the Fall
- Gakugeikai Performance Arts Night in the Winter
- Cherry Blossom Festival Popcorn Booth
- Cherry Blossom Festival Parade Representation
- Spring Matsuri Auction
